The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County is devoted to helping local artists and their creative projects. Through a range of services, such as funding opportunities, gallery exhibitions, performances, artist calls, and more, the Council works to make sure that artists in the county have the resources they need to thrive. In order to be eligible for the Council's services, artists must be living in Palm Beach County at the time of applying. The selection process for these services is overseen by a panel that includes members of the county's Public Art Committee, a representative from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), and Brian Wood, a certified mental health counselor and therapeutic art counselor.
The mission of LULA Lake Worth Arts is to unify the existing arts community around a shared vision, improve access to the arts through educational programs, and invest in partnerships that support talent and the creative community in Lake Worth Beach. This organization provides an opportunity for artists to display outdoor artwork in public spaces, even if their original art medium cannot withstand the harsh weather of South Florida. The Palm Beach County Public Art Manager is responsible for selecting and finalizing art venues with the collaboration of government representatives from the Lakes Region. Additionally, the Council offers a grant to artists who take part in an exhibition organized by a visual arts institution in one of the five counties.
The PBI Art Gallery is located on level 2 of the atrium near the putting green. This pre-security location encourages passengers and locals to discover the exceptional works of local artists. Finalist artists are invited to develop and submit a design proposal (concept art) based on the submission requirements of the finalists.
